Spirulina, thus named because of its spirally shape when viewed under the microscope, is a cyanobacteria that contains pretty much all the vitamins as well as all essential amino acids. It’s a food, not a vitamin, because it’s not processed except to dry it up and put it into capsules. However, it is supposed to make a great dietary supplement, especially for people who have a hard time getting all their proteins and vitamins (you vegans, and travelers), and is potentially a great way to get those amino acids without killing animals. Anyway I’ll let you read the wikipedia article.
